Monitor performance via specific performance measurement system.
Elaborate performance measuring system and further develop if required.
Ensure all partners (internal & external) are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations.
Manage staff resources according to changing needs.
Collaborate with other departments (i.e. technical dept.) for optimization of overall efficiency.
Ensure sub-contractor (3PL) operates as per the agreed terms.
Monitor logistics costs.
Continuously valuate and try to improve distribution models and warehousing so as to develop
business performance within the constraints of costs and legislation.
Seek out and evaluate solutions for bottlenecks / special cases concerning transportation, logistics systems or customer issues. Analyze financial impact and decide accordingly.
Negotiate storage / transportation prices or services.
Communicate effectively with customers and respond to their requirements.
Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with local regulations that may affect the operations.
Accurate System input, scanning, and allocation of stock.
Control all finished goods products by ensuring that system and physical stock balances.
Maintain warehouses stock locations and stock accuracy. (Raw materials and finished goods)
Ensure physical and system stock matches (Raw materials and finished goods)
Ensure records are kept of all dispatched stock and filing is up to date.
Qualification
Logistics or Business graduate
Experience
Experience in distribution, logistics or transportation
Good knowledge of local transport and distribution operations as well as of international import / export regulation.
Skills
Proficient user of the English language
IT literate
Ability to appraise and use IT packages and electronic communication methods
